Dr. Jodi Helbert

I am a trailblazer, a people champion, dynamic difference-maker, advocate, mentor, strategic and magnetic thought leader, problem solver, change motivator, relationship cultivator, servant leader, visionary, and an articulate communicator. I am a board-certified diplomat in Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) and certified trainer through SAMHSA. I founded the BSW Program at King University. I am the current BSW Program Director and full professor at Tennessee Wesleyan University. I am also the advisor of the Phi Alpha | Chi Tau chapter of the international social work honor society. I am a former Commissioner for the CSWE serving on the Commission on Global Social Work Education. I am a student-focused academic, who cares about people, the process, and the product. I am committed to building a just society where anti-racism, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging are embraced.
